I hope you have time to do some armchair gardening with me via this website.
Just South of Alma Wisconsin, the entrance to GLORY GARDENS is just behind the third bluff in the photo. I named the bluffs Three Sisters (after three of my grandaughters).
We are a small operation which focuses on hybridizing. we also sell freshly dug registered daylilies. At times we also sell on the Lily Auction. My Alias is 'lilyfan' if you care to check it out.
Please feel welcome to drop on in, we are there early most mornings, except Sundays.
Peak bloom is usually just after the 4th of July, although some years the first bloom are as early as June 15th. Bloom continues on into the middle of September but it is only a small representation of all the beauty that explodes in July!
Oh and the weeds are more than happy to "show you there stuff" so please try to overlook them!

NEW SELECT SEEDLINGS FROM 2011
This first year seedling is a rich, deep, smooth purple with a golden throat and LOTS of white teeth surrounding it. Garden -named 'SHAGGY VIKING'. Be sure to click on the photo for a larger picture.

DARK VIKING
Here is a full sib to the seedling above. We have about 3 of that cross that we are watching closely, assessing all the pluses and minuses, trying not to absolutely fall in love with it YET!! Daylilies take three years to form a nice clump for better evaluation, as they can change during the first two or three years.We garden named this one 'Dark Viking' as it is near black. (GOD SAVE THE QUEEN X COSMIC SENSATION)
"SENSATIONAL"
When we first saw this seedling (COSMIC SENSATION X SEIZE THE NIGHT) last summer we were thrilled! It is a clear black cranberry with very white teeth surrounding it and about 34" tall. We garden-named it 'Sensational'. It's "arms" are wide open, welcoming you to come see!
"ODDLY SENSATIONAL"
This is a long blooming, tall, full sib to 'Sensational'(above) and we dubbed it 'Oddly Sensational' as it stood out with a striking look, taking center stage and was, oddly, out of the same parents as all the purple ones with white teeth. ( COSMIC SENSATION X SEIZE THE NIGHT)

The colors are so unique, I just stare to take it all in!
